Mightier

Mightier is a program specifically designed to assist children between the ages of 6 and 14 who struggle with emotional regulation. Developed by clinicians from Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, this program offers a fun and engaging way for kids to practice managing their emotions through play.

One unique aspect of Mightier is that players wear a heart rate monitor while they play, allowing them to directly connect with and understand their emotions. As their heart rate increases during gameplay, the challenges become more difficult, providing an opportunity for the child to practice bringing their heart rate down and earning rewards in the games. Over time, this practice can lead to what we call "Mightier moments," where the child automatically utilizes their learned strategies when facing real-world challenges.

Mightier offers a variety of features, including over 25 games and 6 different worlds to explore, ensuring that your child will never get bored. The program also includes a visual representation of the child's heart rate called the Gizmo, which helps them visualize and manage their emotions during moments of extreme distress. Additionally, there are collectible creatures called Lavalings that represent different emotions, providing a fun way for your child to connect with their emotional range.

For parents, Mightier offers an online hub where you can access a dashboard tracking your child's progress. You will also have access to customer support from licensed clinicians who can provide guidance and assistance. Furthermore, there are useful tools and resources available to assist you in navigating your parenting journey with Mightier.
